Bermuda Rental Car FAQ
Q: Can I rent an Electric Car (EV) if I am not staying at one
of the hotels listed on your website?
A: Yes, The shops and hotels listed on our Website are those that we
currently operate from and those that have our charge points
conveniently located on site for their guests. If you are staying at a
property that hasn’t yet installed charging facilities, don’t worry, you can
still rent an EV car. You can return to any of our locations to charge the
vehicle when the battery runs low. Download our Bermuda Rental Car App
and travel the island offline and without Roaming or Data charges to
navigate to the closest charge point location.
Q: What are the requirements for drivers to rent a car?
A: All drivers must be at least 25 years old and hold a valid driver’s license
from their home country.
Q: Why do I need to have insurance?
A: Bermuda law requires all drivers to carry local Third Party Liability
insurance.
Q: Why choose our cars?
A: Our cars are the only EV Rental cars with windows, A/C, Heat and
Bluetooth stereo.
Q: How much does it cost to rent an EV Car?
A: With two different models in the fleet and based on seasonal demands
our pricing varies according to the time of year. Currently our side by side
seating model, the Tazzari Zero Junior is $150 per day and the Front and
Back seating model, the Anaig Quick, is $115 per day. In addition is a one-
time charge of $40 for Third-Party insurance which covers you for up to 30
days. We offer a Discount on the cost per day for Rental Agreements that
exceed 7 days, 14 days and 1 month. To get an exact price based on your

Q: Does it cost extra to add another driver to the booking?
A: No it doesn’t. When making a booking just make sure that all drivers
complete the Driver Contract of Hire. You will need to be at least 25 years
old and hold a valid driver’s license in order to be a registered driver.
Q: What is the latest time I can pick up my Rental car?
A: All shops except our Valley Road Location close at 5 pm and valley road
is open until 5:30.
Q: What is the earliest time I can pick up my Rental Car?
A: You can pick up starting at 9 am at any shop island wide.
Q: Do you rent by the hour or have half-day options?
A: Our rental periods are 24hrs. If you need to return your vehicle after
hours but within your rental period then please park and plug in your
Rental car and leave the key as follows: Dockyard, Valley Road, Hamilton,
Grotto Bay Hotel, St Georges Club Hotel and Towne of St Georges have
drop boxes at the shop. Cambridge Beaches, WillowBank Hotel, Pompano
Beach and the Reefs Hotel require you to turn the keys into the front desk
Q:Will you drop-off and pick-up a Rental Car at/from our
hotel?
A: Please pickup and return to the locations selected while making your
reservation.
EV CHARGING:
Q: How do I charge my EV Rental Car?
A: For the Quick model we provide a cable located behind the drivers seat
in the pouch. Park the car, remove the cable and plug into the wall
receptacle, Now insert the car Plug into the car receptacle located at the
back of the car. Look through the rear window to verify the charging
status light is illuminated. When charging is complete it will automatically
stop charging.
B: For the Zero Junior model we have chargers located across the island.
Park the car, Turn it off and remove the charger cable from the charging
station. Open up the small door located on the hood of the car and insert
the plug into the car receptacle. Look through the side or rear window to
confirm on the dashboard that the vehicle is charging. When charging is
complete it will automatically stop charging.
Q: Where can I charge my EV Rental Car?
A: We have an ever growing network of charge points across the island.
Please download our App, Bermuda Rental Car or inquire at the time of
picking up your vehicle.
Q: How long does it take to charge my EV Rental Car?
A: Our Quick model takes about 4-6 hours to fully charge from empty.
B: Our Zero Junior Model takes about 3-4 hours to fully charge from empty.
We recommend you plug in where ever you go and enjoy the largest
network of chargers across the island.
Q: What is the range of my EV Rental Car?
A: The both models gets about 70 kilometers per charge, depending on
your style of driving. Bermuda is 35 kilometers from end to end, making
the whole island, and more, accessible on a single charge.
Q: How much does it cost to charge my EV Rental Car?
A: Nothing. You do not need to pay to charge your EV Rental Car.
Q: How do I have charge points installed at my hotel, guest
house, restaurant or tourist attraction?
A: Charge points are quick, easy and affordable to install. Please contact
us here.
RULES OF THE ROAD:
We are a British Colony and so we drive on the left-hand side of the road in Bermuda?
The speed limit in Bermuda is 35 kilometers per hour except in the town
of St. Georges, where the speed limit drops to 25 kph.
Q: Are there other traffic rules I should be aware of?
A: If you already have a Car driving license then you are familiar with most
of our rules of the road. Feel free to read our Traffic Hand book- The Traffic Code Handbook.
Q: Can a child ride in the back seat?
A: In our Anaig Quick model children under the age of 5 years old are not
permitted as passengers. Booster seats are also not allowed.
B: In our Tazzari Zero Model children under 14 are not allowed.
Q: Can a child sit on the passenger's lap?
A: No, by law the the EV Rental Cars cannot carry more than two
occupants.
